Dear Family and Friends,
We are in the final countdown to leaving Honduras for our year-long deputation work. It is with mixed feelings that we leave. We are looking forward to seeing so many that we have not seen for a long time. But, it is difficult to delegate and in some areas put on hold our participation in the Lord's work here in Honduras.
We would ask for your special prayers for the following:
1 - That the Lord would help us to get all the last minute details done between now and Tuesday when we fly to Houston.
2 - That the Lord would go before us preparing the way. We will be looking for a vehicle and Travel Trailer to buy in the Houston area. We are already beginning to schedule our visits to districts and churches.
3 - That the Lord's hand will be upon Scott as he and we prepare for him going to college.
4 - That the anointing of the Lord will be upon the Pastors, teachers, and all of the leaders here in Honduras during these difficult times in which we live.
We have a great praise report. Yesterday Morning we received a call from the hospital. Karen a young mother who has a Hydrocephalic baby was crying and upset. She felt that her baby's body was rejecting the shunt that was put in. We sent an e-mail asking for prayer in the morning. We went to the Hospital at 4 PM to find a happy mother and baby. The doctor told her the shunt was working perfectly and the lack of appetite was normal in her case. The swelling of the head was already greatly reduced since we had seen her a week earlier.
This will be our last general e-mail from Honduras. Please change our address to l_cmelton@juno.com Our e-mail account here in Honduras will still be open for a couple of weeks and we may be able to access it from the States. However, it would be much easier to receive our e-mail on the Juno account.
