Dear Family and Friends,

Greetings from Michigan. We are enjoying cold weather but, little snow. We did have a white Christmas with 5 or 6 inches of snow on Christmas Day. We arrived here in Michigan on the 15th and Scott arrived on the 16th. We were able to celebrate Christmas with both of our families. Scott is now back in Joplin as he has to start back to work tomorrow.

We finished in Florida the end of November. We visited 12 churches in the Sunshine State as well as several long time friends. Then we visited 2 churches in Arkansas and 3 in the Kansas City area.

We will begin our itineration of Texas the 2nd full week of January. In the months of March and April we will be in California. We are excited about our trip from Texas to California as Les’ parents will be traveling with us. We hope to introduce them to the Grand Canyon.

We are thankful for all of God’s protection along the way. We have now traveled over 23,000 miles and have visited 64 churches. We have been blessed by meeting many new pastors and fellowshipping with those we already knew. We have also enjoyed visiting several new churches and becoming reacquainted with those we have visited in the past. Each and every church has pledged to support us and the ministry in Honduras and El Salvador with their daily prayers. We are most thankful for that.

We are grateful that we have passed the halfway point on both of our budgets. Please continue to pray with us that the rest will come in so we can soon return to Honduras.

Les will be traveling to Honduras the first week of January for 6 district meetings. This is a special time of electing new District Leaders. Each pastor gives the local church’s annual report. It is also a time of making plans and setting goals for the coming year. We are asking God to lead in each decision. We are asking that God’s perfect will be done. Please join with us in prayer for this week of meetings.

Yours for Missions,

Les, Charlene, Scott, Craig and Rosalie Melton
